The information session will start at 6:30 p.m: in the Center for Technology on the campus in Le- hman. This scholarship program al- lows high school juniors and se- niors to take college courses for a [raction of the actual tuition costs. Students showing academic promise can take a maximum of three courses: at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Qualified high school juniors and seniors may take one course per semester at approximately half the regular Penn State tuition. If students complete three courses with an overall “B” average or better, they will qualify for a $1,000 scholar- ship in their freshman year at one of Penn State's 12 Commonwealth locations. Washington's death to be commemorated In recognition of the George Washington Bicentennial 1999, the United States Congress has issued an official call for bells to be rung and the American flag to be lowered to half-staff. It stated that Timothy Puz, 21, and Benjamin Smith, 20, pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. That is incorrect. Both pleaded guilty only {o possession; charges of possession with intent to sell and} conspiracy were dismissed. The incident on which the charges were based took place in February, 1998.
