He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Tulsa. In 1954, he transferred to New Jersey and retired in 1970. Upon retirement he moved to Sweet Valley. He was a member of the Ameri- can Legion and the Masonic Lodge.
