She was driving the van northbound “on Rt. 309 near Mr. Z's Market Friday, July 30 at about 11:50 a.m. when for an unknown reason the van drifted “into the oncoming lane, police said. Albyn Kochanski, 37, of Glen Lyon, was driving southbound in a tractor trailer -owned by George B. Schall Trucking of Shavertown, and attempted to pull off the road to avoid the van, but the “driver side of the van struck the cab of the truck, spun around and came to rest in the center of the road. Members of Dallas and Kunkle fire and ambulance services and paramedics from Wyoming Valley Health “Care worked about 45 minutes to get Crisman out of the van. After trying to open the side of the van, they removed her through the back doors. A Guthrie helicopter then: flew her to the hospital, leaving from Dallas High School. The accident is still under investigation by officer David Rinehimer of the Dallas Borough Police Dept. In photos, Maggie Davis waited for assistance as other emergency personnel arrived; the impact of the crash tore a tire off the tractor trailer. to: dalpost@aol.com Please include a name and phone number where you can be reached in case we have questions. 50 DARLING & SONS!
