2 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, July 21, 1999 Seat belts save lives Heather Taylor and her son, Buck, 7, escaped serious injury Monday afternoon, when a pickup truck she was operating rammed into a concrete bridge abutment on Lower Demunds Rd. in Dallas Township. Taylor told police she was traveling south when a deer ran into the road in front of the truck. She said she swerved to miss POST PHOTO/RON BARTIZEK the deer, lost control, and ran head-on into the side of the bridge. The truck spun around and flipped on its side before coming to rest. Little Theatre of W-B will host children's workshop Little Theater of Wilkes-Barre is offering a summer theater workshop to students entering 9th through 12th grades. Students learn all aspects of theater, including acting, costumes, props, makeup, and much more. Classes are offered from 6 until 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on - Saturdays.. Little Theater is also offering a part-time workship for students in 7th and 8th grades, These students will assist with the production on the technical crew and participate in the Saturday classes. On August 6 and 7 at 7 p.m., the students of the workshop will present Thomas Hischak’s “Mankind and Co.”, a collection of favorite Greek and Roman myths. Mr. Vincent Cotrone, Extension Ur- ban Forester, provided assistance to Borough Manager Milton Lutsey and Road Employee John Cybulski from start to finish. United Water of Pennsylvania provided the use of their backhoe and operator to dig the holes nec- essary for the Dallas Borough Road Department crew to plant the Japanese Cherry trees.
