Born June 26, 1902 in Lake Township, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Olive Miner Crispell. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hoover; a son, Elwood (Pete) Hoover; and two grandsons, Lee and Darryl Hoover. She was also a free-lance writer for the Northeast Pennsyl- vania Business Journal and for individual business clients. She was a member of and was active in several local organiza- tions.
