Palmer Jr, 70, of Chase, Jackson Township, and formerly of Courtdale, died May 18, 1999, in the Hospice Care of ~ the VNA at the Heritage House in Wilkes-Barre. Born Feb. 27, 1929, in Chase, he was a son of Florence Elston Palmer of Chase and the late Harold G. Palmer Sr. He was a 1946 graduate of Le- hman Township High School and lived in Chase most of his life. He was a Korean War Army veteran serving as-a corporal in the medic team. He was a member of the Ameri- can Legion Post 395 in Kingston and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 283 in Kingston. Before his retirement, he was a union carpenter and a millwright. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 768 and was a member of the Bennett Presbyterian Church in Luzerne. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mildred E. Vanderhoof. Surviving in addition to his mother, are sons, Christopher W. Palmer, Kingston; Major James K. Palmer, TX; George Walp, MD; and a daughter, Evelyn Ganard, NJ; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a companion, Ellen Agnew, Forty Fort. (Crane) Kliamovich, 52, of RR 1, Noxen, Wyoming County, died May 22, 1999 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was a 1947 graduate of Dallas Township High School and resided in Dallas Township most of her life. Before retiring, she was em- ployed as a seamstress at Avenue Fashions in Wyoming. : She was a member of Orange United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for 30 years. She was president of the Methodist Women and the rural branch of Nesbitt Memorial Hos- pital Auxiliary. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Louis and Susan Humenick Oncay. He was a graduate of Kingston High School and Drexel University in Philadel- phia. Before retiring, he was em- ployed as a lubrication engineer by Atlantic Richfield of Wilkes- Barre and Philadelphia. He was a resident of Lehman Township for the past 52 years. He attended the Grace Commu- nity Church in Dallas. He was preceded in death by brothers, William, Frank, Lewis and Albert; sisters, Helen Blinn, Bertha Donnelly, Irene Brush, Rose Oncay, and Emma Smith. He was employed by the former Central Penn Quarry and Con- struction Co., Hazleton for 27 years; was road supervisor for Harvey Lake for seven years and was a bus driver for Martz Trailways for four years, retiring 12 years ago.
