Krashnak III, 34, of RR3, Box 150, Harveys Lake, faces charges of driving under the in- fluence and passing where pro- ‘hibited after he was arrested by Dallas Borough police officer James Drury. Drury said that at ‘about 7:15 a.m. on Nov. 30, 1998, ‘he saw a black 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling south on Rt. 415, ‘passing other vehicles in a no- ‘passing zone. Drury said the truck was traveling well above the 40 mph posted speed limit and going from the center lane to the berm of the roadway. When he was able to pull the Tahoe over, he smelled alcohol on Krashnak's breath, and said his speech was slurred. After Krashnak failed field sobriety tests, Drury placed him under arrest and took him for a blood alcohol test. Krashnak’s blood alcohol was measured at .109 percent, above the legal limit. The following defendants waived their right to a preliminary hearing: |e Robert Dellosa Jr., now 21, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, was observed driving erratically on Rt. 309 in Dallas at about 2:20 a.m. on January 10 by Dallas Borough police officer James Martin. Mar- tin said Dellosa’s red Ford had stopped at a red light in the on- coming lane. He then went through the red light and contin- ued south, then made a sudden left turn onto Main Rd. from the travel lane. After Dellosa stopped at- Desi’s Pizza & Rock Club, Dellosa took field sobriety tests, which he failed. Later tests deter- mined his blood alcohol level was .184 percent. In addition to a charge of driving under the influ- ence, Dellosa will stand trial for three traffic violations. e Thomas Brown, 21, of 217 Country Club Apts., Dallas, was stopped just after midnight on Dec. 19, 1998 by Dallas Borough police officer Donald Gavigan af- ter driving through a stop sign at Lake St. and E. Center Hill Rd. in Dallas. When he was asked to take field sobriety tests, he re- sponded that he was unable to, police said. A chemical analysis found his blood alcohol level to be .154 percent. He is charged with driving under the influence and disregarding a traffic control de- vice. e Denise Venetz, 23, of 19 North St., West Pittston, was arrested ' Oct. 24, 1998 after PA State Police Trooper Joseph Wasko was sent to investigate an accident at 3:10 a.m. near Perrin’s Marsh in Franklin Twp. A car had crossed the roadway at a left turn, and had struck a concrete bridge bar- rier. Interviewed at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Venetz told Wasko she was driving west, to get to the Cross Valley Express- way. She said she had been drink- ing at the Woodlands earlier in the night. A test showed her blood alcohol level to be .162 percent. She faces a charge of speeding as well as driving under the influ- ence.
