Land Trust featured in national finance magazine An article about the Back Mountain Regional Land Trust appears in the March 1999 issue of Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine, a nationally distributed publication. Last fall, an associate editor of the magazine was visiting family and noticed a letter to the editorin albcal newspaper from Mrs. Betty Davies of Mehoopany, who had recently donated a conservation easement on her property to the Land Trust. Intrigued by the let- ter, the editor contacted Mrs. Davies and the Land Trust. “The Land Trust is extremely pleased to see itself in print in a publication that willbe read across the nation,” said Linda Thoma, executive director. “This is quite an accomplishment for us and for the land trust movement. You can't begin to imagine how much credibility is added to our efforts now that we are recognized in a national publication.” The Back Mountain Reiorl Land Trust is a non-profit, mem- bership supported conservation organization serving the counties of Luzerne, Susquehanna and Wyoming.
