Born Jan. 19, 1968, in Osage, WY, she was the daughter of Wil- liam Ankeney and Sharon Barker, both of the state of Wyoming. She graduated from schools in Wyoming state and Delaware County Community College, where she earned an associate degree in business. She was active with the Dallas Jr. Football Association as a cheerleading coach; the Tumble Jets Parents Association, Bloomsburg and the Girl Scouts. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grand- parents. Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husand, Dr. Rob- ert Thomas Adkins Jr.; daugh- ters, Jessie and Nancy, both at home; brothers, Robert, Stephen, and Jason Ankeney, all of Wyo- ming state; aunts, uncles, cous- ins, nieces and nephews. Mikolaicik, 61, of Dallas died Jan. 15, 1999 at his home. Born. Aug. 29, 1937 in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late “Joseph and Helen (Viecek) Mikolaicik. He was a graduate of Nanticoke schools. He had been employed as a technician at Procter & Gamble Co. He was a member of Baptist Tabernacle, in Wilkes-Barre. Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Antonia Zajkowski. She resided in Lehman Town- ship and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, Lehman Township. She was employed by Woodbury Manufacturing, Wilkes-Barre un- til her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband. Surviving are her son, Charles, Jersey Shore; daugher, Rita Rish, Pasadena, MD; brothers, John Zaykowski, Larksville; Joseph Zaykowski, Lehman Township; sister, Dorothy Keiper, Dallas; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. RICHARD SABRA Richard Charles Sabra, of Dal- las, died Jan. 12, 1999 at his home. Born Feb. 22, 1916 in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Charles and Freda Sabra. He was a 1939 graduate of Middlebury College. Most of his employmnent was in the public sector, serving in the U.S. Department of State as a special agent in the Security Divi- sion; in the Postal Service Depart- ment as a post office inspector and in the Small Business Ad- ministration as a personnel man- agement specialist. During his tenure as a federal employee, he served for three years as president of the New York Chap- ter of the National Association of Federal Investigators. Later, after teaching courses in personnel administration, labor relations and public relations at the University College, the State University of Rutgers in New Jer- sey, and retiring from the govern- ment sector, he accepted the po- sition of director of the Summer Session at Rutgers University, Newark campus. He was a member of St. Therese’s Church in the Shaver- town section of Kingston Town- ship. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Anne L. Arzenete, three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. HERBERT SAXE Herbert L. Saxe, 62, of Heather Highlands in Inkerman died Jan. 13, 1999, at Wilkes-Barre Gen- eral Hospital. Born Jan. 7, 136 in Noxen, he was the son of Bearice (Traver) Saxe of the Shavertown section of Kingston Township and the late Herbert A. Saxe. He attended Noxen schools and had attended Luzerne County Community College for two years. He lived in Kingston before moving to Inkerman seven years ago. He was a member of the Shav- ertown United Methodist Church. He was last employed by Bevan Food Service. Before working for Bevan, he was employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for seven years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded both a Silver Star and Purple Heart. He served with the Army for 17 years. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Marie Ash Saxe; daughter, Sandra Watts, Utah; sons, Vernon Richard Ash, Plains Township; and David A. Ash, Wyoming; 15 grandchildren: and 15 great-granchildren; and several cousins. CAROL SCHOENBERG Carol L. Schoenberg, 54, of Beach Haven, NJ passed away on Jan. 14. 1999. She was born in Kingston, daughter of Robert Anderson and the late Eleanor Holbrook Carey Anderson, grew up in Trucksville Gardens, and was a graduate of Dallas High School, Class of 1962. Carol was a longtime winter resident of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. she was former owner and operator, along with her husband Herbert, of Schoenberg's Hi-n-Dri Boatel, Beach Haven. She worked for Bell Telephone for six years and also managed restaurants in Beach Haven and Florida. An avid runner, Carol partici- pated in the New York Marathon and many benefit-runs to sup- port various charities; she was the recipient of numerous awards, plaques and certificates over the years. Surviving is her husband of 30 years, Herbert A. Schoenberg, Jr.; father, Robert Anderson, Trucksville Gardens; one brother, Robert Anderson of Purcellville, VA; two. sisters, Deborah Massimiano and Kathleen Roma, both of Manahawkin, NJ; several nieces and nephews.
