The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, December 16, 1998 11 Valley Cat Rescue opens reduced-cost spay/neuter clinic Valley Cat Rescue is proud to announce the opening of Luzerne County's first reduced-cost, year round, open to the public, Spay/ Neuter Clinic for Cats! Neutering of male cats costs $25; spaying of females costs $40. There is no additional office visit or exam fee. Please note that neither VCR nor Pittston Animal Hospital makes any profit from this clinic; on the contrary, we don’t even expect to “break even.” The sole aim is to reduce the number of unwanted kittens and cats who die on the streets or are euthanized in shelters every day in our area, and to improve the health and well-being of our cli- ents’ cats .The clinic is conve- niently located on South Main Street in Pittston. Plenty of easy, low-cost parking is available at meters on the street or in the municipal parking lot. Acat that is spayed or neutered is healthier, better behaved, easier to care for, and much nicer to have around that one who is not. Don't wait for your cat to get preg- nant, get sick or develop nasty habits, get him neutered or her spayed now, and enjoy your pet's company for many more years to come. To get your cat fixed, you must call Valley Cat Rescue at 824- 4172 and leave a message, any day, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. only. (Calls made out- side those hours will not be re- turned.) A VCR Volunteer will return your call, provide you with more information and register your cat for the clinic. Please do not call Pittston Animal Hospital for information or clinic appoint- ments.
