The play will be presented Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. each night at the Back Mountain Harvest Assembly, Carverton Rd., Trucksville. A donation of $3 can be made in advance at Better Health Center, Shavertown, or at Gifrs from Above or Sue Hand's Imagery in Dallas. $4 at the door. The children’s cook- book, “Junior Chefs and Artists” sells for $9.50 and includes reci- pes the young people have cooked, written and shared their talents to make the book, in honor of the new children’s wing. The book includes appetizers, beverages, soup, salads, breads, rolls, veg- etables, main dishes and desserts. The library is also selling the 1999 Book Lovers Calendars; 365 days of good authors, good books and good reading, by Thomas J. Craughwell. The calendar in- cludes where to start with Doris Lessing; the best of Raymond Chandler; other Toni Morrison novels and a millennium feature, the best books of the past 1,000 years. A special for you and your kids, Lincoln: a photobiography: “A. Lincoln: His Last 24 Hours” by W. Emerson Reck. The calendar is selling for $8.00. The “Santa Brick” is a com- memorative engraved brick, with a special message to be installed in the walkway entrance. Member- ship card is included. The newly opened, “Slightly Read Book Store” has received some very nice practically new books as donations for the store. These have been added to the shelves. A purchase of three or four adult books or four or five children’s books will be put in a small Back Mountain Memorial Library bag with a Christmas bow as an additional gift idea for some- one special. A nice surprise un- der the tree! The order for the fresh fruit sale has been placed with the company and is expected to arrive at the library in time for pick up on Friday, Dec. 11, 7-9 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. We have ordered some extra grapefruit, oranges and tanger- ines; so if you forgot to order or would like additonal boxes, they will be available in limited supply. This is the seventh annual fruit sale the library has held and we do thank our patrons who so dili- gently support all of our projects.
