6 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, November 25, 1998 Naylor-Lemmond Thanksgiving dinner to mark 25th anniversary The 25th annual Naylor- - Lemmond Community Thanksgiv- ing Dinner will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Wilkes-Barre at noon on Thanks- giving Day, according to dinner coordinator Shawn Murphy. To celebrate the dinner’s quar- ter century mark, special door prizes will be awarded and photo- graphs taken throughout the years will be on display. The dinner, which honors the memories of Benjamin E. Naylor, Ms. Murphy's grandfather and Ruth and Charles lemmond, the parents of State Sen. Charles D. Lemmond, Jr., is open “to anyone who would like to enjoy Thanks- giving Dinner with friends,” says Ms. Murphy. The dinner is served free of charge, although an offering is accepted to help defray the cost of the meal. Organizations that as- sist in subsidizing the dinner in- clude the Commission on Eco- nomic Opportunity, St. Stephen’s Church of Wilkes-Barre, and Luzerne County's Transportation Department.
