Hundreds of guests and del- egates from the community and from colleges, universities and professionasl societies from across the Northeastern and Middle At- lantic states are expected to at- tend. Dr. Clifton R. Wharton, Jr., former chancellor of the State University of New York and former Deputy Secretary of State, U.S. Department of State, will give the Library news & NEV TGA YA 111d 1 F1 The grand opening of the “Slightly Read Book Store” was held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. The response of the public was very good and the sales amounted to over S200. The store is being staffed by volunteer help with time slots still in need of workers. The store has been arranged in order similar to regular library shelves. The store will be open on a regular basis on Wednesday from 1-8 p.m .and Saturday, 10-5 p.m. New books are added to the shelves almost every day. The outside stairs or the ramp is on the side of the building for the entrance to the book store. The fresh citrus fruit sale spon- sored by our “Friends” will con- tinue through November 20. Or- der forms are available at the in- formation desk for orange, grape- fruit or tangerines. The pick up dates are December 11 and De- cember 12.
