2 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, November 11, 1998 Kingston Township winter parking Kingston Township Police Chief James Balavage, would like to remind residents that Township Winter Parking Ordinance is effective through March 31, 1999. Under this ordinance residents are prohibited from parking vehicles on Township streets between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily. The Chief also reminds residents that vehicles are not permitted to be parked on Township streets during snow storms or for eight hours after the end of a storm. The ordinance’is designed to keep the Township streets open and clear so that snow removal measures can be effectively undertaken by the Public Works Department. Residents with questions about the ordinance may contact Chief Balavage at 696-1175. Kingston Township tax reminder Kingston Township tax collector, Janice Castellani, reminds resi- dents that face value on 1998 school tax bills will end, Monday, Nov. 16. DISTRICT COURTBRIEFS INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER District Magistrate James Tupper will hear the case of Shickshinny resident Ryan M. Wido, 19, who faces a charge of involuntary manslaughter after the car he was driving struck Catrina Lemberger on Rt. 4006 Aug. 3. Lemberger, age 5, was pronounced dead by a Columbia County coroner. Wido told police that he was driving between 40 and 45 m.p.h. in a posted 35 m.p.h. area. After an accident reconstruction by police, it was determined that Wido was driving atleast 57 m.p.h. The 1988 Ford Mustang he was driving also had objects hanging from the rear-view mirror that materially obstructed his view to the front, according to police. Morrison, 34, was arrested Aug. 29 by Dallas Borough patrolman William Norris - after police ob- served that his temporary regis- tration sticker was possibly out of service. Morrison told police that he took a temporary sticker off an- other vehicle and put it on his to make it appear valid. Police also observed a false expiration date on his inspection sticker. He was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and operat- ing a vehicle without a valid in- spection.
