Born in Shickshinny, he was the son of the late Gordon and Marjorie Hess Bridle. He was a graduate of Shickshinny High School and Gettysburg College. He was employed as a stock broker with the former Bache Co., Wilkes-Barre, and later was owner of Diversified Equities, a real es- tate investment company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving as a lieu- tenant. He also served as executive di- rector of the Eastern Distribution Center and was instrumental in the international designation of the Wilkes-Barre /Scranton Inter- national Airport and its designa- tion as the 24th Foreign Trade Zone in the United States and the first in the state. He as amember of Irem Temple; the Royal Order of Jesters, where he served as past director and the Caldwell Consisiory and the Ma- sons.
