Betten bender, 22, of Orlando, Fla., died Sept. 12 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Or- lando. Born in Wilkes-Baree, he was the son of Drew Bittenbender, McCall, Idaho, and Lynn Newhart . Allen, San Diego, Calif. Formerly of Dallas, he was a graduate of Lake-Lehman High Schoo, where he was a member of the football team. He was a junior at the University of Central Florida, Orlando. JOAN BRIN Joan Emily Brin, 68, of Loyalville, died Sept. 21 at the Hospice Care of the VNA of Luzerne County Inpatient Unit, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born Sept. 16, 1930, in Wilkes- Barre, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances Bogacki Stravinski. She resided in Loyalville for the last 48 years. She was a graduate of the former Marymount High School, Wilkes-Barre. She was employed as a book- keeper for Luzerne Lumber Com- pany for 12 years. She was em- ployed by Offset Paperback, Inc., Dallas, for 10 years, retiring six years ago. She was a member of St. John The Baptist Church, Edwardsville. She and her husband, Jacob Brin, Jr., celebrated their 47th wed- ding anniversary last October 29. She was preceded in death by her sister Frances Karwell.
