Shone has been employed at Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1969 hav- ing served as sales representa- tive, manager of national ac- counts, manager of the Central Region Marketing Department and ‘manager of the Marketing Depart- ment, Western Region. As regional sales manager, Shoneis responsible for sales staff training and management, for customer sales and retention, and for interaction with the customer service, provider relations and medical management depart- ments. He is a member of the Forty Forty United Methodist Church where he has served on the Board of Trustees and the Administra- tive Board. Shone is a member, past president and Paul Harris Fellow with the Wilkes-Barre Ro- tary Club. Shone has been active in Back Mountain Baseball as a coach, manager and umpire for more than 20 years and has re- ceived the Dave “Dome” Yenchak Memorial Award for his dedica- tion to youth baseball. Shone also served in the United States Marines. Shone and his wife, Dolores, have three daughters, Deborah, Sandra and Andrea and three granddaughters, Samantha, Brit- tany and Kimberly. Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania has announced that Brian Sickler of Dallas has been appointed regional sales manager for the Northern Region which includes Bradford, Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyo- ming counties. Sickler has been employed at Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1986, hav- ing served as ac- count manager, seriior sales con- sultant, and group sales rep- resentative. Sickler received bachelor degrees in economics and political sci- ence from Washington State Uni- versity in Pullman, WA. O’Leary Council 8224 recently observed the first. anniversary of their support of the Dialysis Patients Association, a United Way sponsored organization that provides free transportation to and from dialysis treatments. To date, with the help of many council members and other members of the community, Father O'Leary Council has collected hundreds of pounds of aluminum “Pull Tabs” which are sold to raise funds.
