Northern Lights Aerobatic Team at Armed Forces Air Show The skies over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport will reflect an international flavor on the weekend of Sat., July 11 and Sun., July 12, as Armed Forces Air Show '98 features the return of the Northern Lights Aerobatic Team. The unique Canadian Civilian Aerobatic Team has established a reputation as being on the cutting edge of propeller driven aerobatics and precision display flying. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport is located at Exit 49 A off Interstate 81. Parking for the air show is provided at expanded air show parking lots at the airport. Free remote parking is provided at Rocky Glen Park at Exit 50 and the Lackawanna County Multi-Purpose Stadium at Exit 51. Free shuttle bus service is provided to and from both lots directly to and from Air Show gates, which open at 9 a.m., and close at 6 p.m. both days. Handicapped vehicles can then be parked in a special designated lot at the 360 Communications building, located at the entrance to the airport. Tickets will be sold only at the entrance gates and cost $9 for adults, $4 for children ages six through 12, and children under age six are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
