Moran of Shavertown will serve as chairperson of the 30th Annual Starlight Ball. Assisting her mother as co-chairperson of the event is Maureen L. Moran. The Starlight Ball is scheduled for. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Genetti Hotel and Convention Center, Wilkes-Barre. This year’s event will feature a cocktail and social hour at 7 p.m., with dinner served at 8 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided by bands, Fancy Dancer and Which Doctor. A raffle drawing for separate prizes of $10,000, $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 will be among the numerous Starlight Ball attractions. A limited number of raffle tickets will be sold at $100 each. Tickets may be purchased individually or as a group at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Gift Shoppe or from any Starlight Ball committee member. AWANA Club holds awards night The AWANA Club Awards Night was held at the Grace Community Church, Dallas, recently. This club is a Bible-based fellowship that meets weekly through the months of September-April. Boys and girls are encouraged to memorize Bible scripture, work on crafts | and enjoy recreation time.
