My class and I have proven that statement is wrong. Twenty-six students of Gate of Heaven School have raised $1,000 ‘and have donated that money to the missions. The $1,000 is divided into $10 each and given evenly to 100 ran- domly picked countries around the world, such as Guam, Haiti and China. We raised the money in an old- fashioned way, mostly through bake sales, raffles and class par- ties. The last and most simple way we raised the money is that al- most every day we get some change from everyone in the class. This mainly took place in the morning. ~ We hope adults realize what middle school students can do to raise money for people in need. All you really have to do is call upon 26 seventh graders who will do the job in just one school year! by Nisha Sharma EXHIBITS Blanc, Anna Bruns, Jonathon Carroll, Sharleen Casey, Adrienne Cebrick, Brett Considine, Jonathan Franconi, Stephanie Gionta, Vinnie Ginochetti, Maureen Hozempa, Russ Kalnoskas, Stacie Koprowski, Paul Mentis, Tim Olivieri, Meghan Reino, Adrienne Ruggerio, Susan Ruotolo, Dan Suchocki, Kristi Wagner.
