2 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, June 3, 1998 Township's municipal building dedicated KINGSTON TWP. - With digni- taries, speeches and food, Kingston Township's dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new municipal building was a memorable event. On May 28, Lt. Gov. Mark Schweiker joined State Sen. Charles D. Lemmond jr., State Rep. Phyllis Mundy and others in giving their blessing to the new building and the township. The new building stands at 180 E. Center St. in Shavertown. It houses administrative offices and the police department complex. The facility marks the comple- tion of a commitment by the Kingston Township Board of Su- pervisors to improve the township’s physical plant for the next century. This year three events will be offered. The events, dates and loca- tions are as follows: Wed., June 17 - Kirby Park, Recreational Walking, 9 a.m. Thurs., June 18 - Team Bowl- ing, Modern Lanes, Exeter, 9 a.m. Fri., June 19 - Horseshoes, Hamilton Park, Kingston, 9 a.m. Pre-registration is necessary, cost is $3 per person and includes equipment, prizes, lunch, med- als, certificates etc. Deadline for registration is Tues., June 9. Individuals may participate in demonstration events such as shuffleboard, archery, football toss, basketball throw and cast- ing. : Winners of these events will be sponsored to participate in the state-wide Senior Games in Shippensburg.
