Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late John and Ruth Fuller Doran. He graduated from Wyoming Seminary and attended Williams College. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed as a sales- man by Miner Hillard Milling Co. and in later years by I.D.S. Finan- cial Services, Inc. He was a resident of the Back Mountain area for the past 46 years. He was a founding member of the Valley Tennis and Swim Club and a former board member of the SPCA. He was preceded in death by . his brother, Joseph. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Kline; sons, Henry F. Jr., Enfield, NH; Joseph K., Leba- non, NH; five grandchildren. Memorial funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Harold C. Born Feb. 24, 1925: .in Edwardsville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Hanna Powell Yarnell Sr. He attended Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. : Before he retired, he was em- ployed for 31 years with the fed- eral government, first at the De- partment of Veterans Affairs Medi- cal Center, Wilkes-Barre and later, as a mail handler for the u.s, ' Postal Service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving with the SeaBees. He was a member of the Shav- ertown United Methodist Church and Landmark Lodge 442, Wilkes- Barre. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Mae. Surviving are his wife, the former Laraine Walton; daugh- ters, Gail Zoccola, Wilkes-Barre; Linda Burnett, Hanover Town- ship; a stepdaughter, Patricia Taylor, Plymouth; stepsons, Everett W. Parker, 78, of Sutton Road, Shavertown, Kingston Township, died May 17, 1998, in Largo, FL, following a brief illness. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Elizabeth Malloy McCrystle. She graduated from Wilkes- Barre Institute and Manhattanville College of the Sa- cred Heart. She was employed as a realtor, associated with the offices of Howell & Jones Inc. She was a lifelong resident of the Wyoming Valley. She was active in community affairs and served on the boards of many local service organiza- tions, including the board of trust- ees of the YWCA; chairman of the advisory committee of Luzerne County Child Welfare Services; Welfare Planning Council of Luzerne County; and the League of the Northeast Philharmonic Society. She was a trustee of Community Services of Pennsyl- vania. She was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Wilkes- Barre and a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Oscar S. Parker. Surviving are daughters, Deirdre Arntz, Seattle, WA; Alexa Parker, Indian Shores, FL; sons, Jerome S., Lansdowne; Gregory R., Milwaukee, WI; four grand- children; sister, Jacqueline Price, Stuart, FL.
