Camp Louise, Penn‘s Woods camp outside of Berwick, offers one and two week resident camping experiences for girls ages five thru 17. Resident camping is living in the out-of-doors under the careful supervision of trained camp counselors. All campers participate in swimming, boating; arts and crafts, nature activities, cookouts, hiking and other out- door activities during their stay at camp. The campers plan activi- ties with their counselors. Each week features an all-camp get- together for campfires, special meals or events. Camp programs are fun and designed to help girls develop confidence, respect for others, new friendships, self-es- teem and values, a love of the out- of-doors, decision making and leadership skills. The Camp Louise overitiaht Camp sessions focus on themes such as sports, outdoor photog- raphy, drama and theater, crafts just to name a few. First time campers ages five to eight can attend a Mini Camps session con- sisting of two nights and three days or a week long “Mom and Me” sessison for both mother and daughter. Girls eight and older can choose to attend a two week Paddle and Saddle session com- bining horseback riding and ca- noeing. Older girls ages 11 and older may attend a two week back- packing session or enter the five week long Counselor-in-Training program. _Camp fees begin at $65 for Mini Camp sessions to $145 for aregu- lar one week session and may vary according to session engin, content and theme. Camp Louise is open to all girls, both Girl Scouts and non-mem- bers. : Non-Girl ‘Scouts are welcome to attend camp for an additional fee of $55.
