Newberry Ladies Golf organizes The Chairman and Committee Members of the Newberry Estate Ladies’ Golf League met recently to finalize plans for the opening league luncheon. It will be held at noon on Mon., May 18, at the Newberry Estate Appletree Terrace. The purpose of the luncheon is to kick off the golf season and to acquaint anyone who is interested with Newberry’s golf program. All Newberry Estate women are invited to attend the luncheon as is any woman who might be interested in joining a golf league, or even in playing golf. Sue Demidovich is chairman of the ladies golf league. The Games will be held at Shippensburg University from July 13 through July 18. Any Pennsylvania resident 50 years of age or older as of Dec. 13 can participate. This year the athletes partici- pating in the Pennsylvania Senior Games can qualily for the Na- tional Senior Games. The Na- tional Senior Games will be held in 1999 at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL. Sports included in the PSG are | archery, badminton, basketball, bocci, bowling, casting, cycling, darts, football throw, golf, horse- shoes, pool, racquetball, shuffle- board, softball team, softball throw, swimming, table tennis, tennnis, track and field, triathlon and volleyball team.
