STAR, part of the Wyo-~ ming Valley Health Care Sys- tem, provides physical therapy service to district sports teams. Aed said it _ costs the system $35,000 to put a representative on the field for a year. He said STAR saved the district $16,500 in 1997 and $19,500 already this year. Wolensky, the athletic di- rector, highly recommended STAR and its representative to the board. “I'm more than happy with what we have,” replied Wolensky, when asked his opinion of STAR'’s service. “Tom Connors is very accessible. Anytime we've needed him he’s been there.” Litz asked if the district could enter into a one-year contract with STAR. Aed said thatit could, but that it could be more: expensive.
