Open to the public, the show offers several categories for flower fans to display their talent. Bloomers plan 1998 NEPA Flower Show The 1998 Northeast Pennsyl- vania Flower Show. “All Around The Town” will be held at the Kingston Armory, Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p..m. Sunday. Now in its sixth year, the North- east Pennsylvania Flower Show is presented by the Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club, winners .of the prestigious National Flower Show Award. ! “All proceeds from the event will benefit the Northeastern Pennsyl- vania Philharmonic. Tickets will be $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12, with children under two being free. Tickets will only be sold at the event. The club would like to encour- age area residents to participate in this spectacular show. You “need not belong to a garden club or horticultural society to enter your plants or designs and there is no entry fee. There are several entry classes for amateur growers and designers, as well as two classes available for commericial florists and landscapers. For amateur adult exhibitors Dedication, tour of new Dallas fire hall Sunday Dallas Fire and Ambulance will be having a formal dedication ceremony and Community Open House for their new facility. The dedication ceremony will be held Sunday, March 29 at 1 p.m. with Pennsylvania Fire Commissioner, Dave Smith, giving the dedication address. Other dignitaries have also indicated their attendance. A ribbon cutting, the “Fire Dept. tradition” of pushing in the first Engine, some com- ments and other events are scheduled. Immediately following the dedication ceremony, the building will be open to the community until 4 p.m. Some light refreshments will be provided. Dallas Fire and Ambulance invites all interested residents of the Dallas Community, other Fire and Ambulance Dept. members and any other interested persons, to join us for the event.
