The prospective groom is a 1987 graduate of Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1991 from the Massachusetts Institute - of Technology He will graduate in the spring of 1998 with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. The couple will exchange vows on May 9, 1998 in Saline, Michigan. Lions Clubs learn about eye surgery The Dallas and Harveys Lake Lions Clubs recently hosted the monthly meeting of the Lower Wyoming Valley Eye Bank at the Castle Inn, Dallas. Dr. Jay Tanner, a member of the Dallas Club gave an informative presentation on radial keratotomy and other recent innovations concerning eye surgery. New Civil War reenactors to meet The 1st Maryland Cavalry, Company C., C.S.A. (dismounted) , the, area's newest Civil War reenacting organization will hold an organiza- tional meeting at the Hoyt Library, Wyoming Ave., Kingston, on Sat., Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. All those wishing information on the group and _, reenacting in general are urged to attend. As a reenactor, members will take on the persona of a 19th century individual and actually live the life of a person of this time (1860's) in camp and on the Civil War battlefield. The 1st Maryland Cavalry Co. C. portrays a dismounted cavalry group belonging to Army of Northern" Virginia 1862-65. Membership is open to anyone with a serious interest in America’ Ss Civil War who wishes to actually live the event and not simply talk * about it.
