Feb. 14. at 7 .PM. The dance is held at the Wyoming Seminary Lower School, 1560 Wyoming Avenue, Forty-Fort. For the first time in nearly two years, a . local dance band will provide the music for the contra dance. The Westmoreland Wags are a group of young musicians, most of whom gained former house band of § the dance series, the Back Mountain Reel- ers. The new dance band consists of three siblings; Jan Warrington on lead fiddle, Ben on piano, fiddle and viola, and Lucy playing fiddle. They are joined by Rob Lewis on guitar, bodhran, and percussion, and Margaret Bakker on cello. Lucy Warrington, playing fiddle, is 10 years old, in 4th grade at Wyoming Valley Montessori School. Ben Warrington, who will play keyboard, is 14 years old, in 9th grade at Wyoming Seminary. Ian Warrington, playing lead fiddle, is 17 years old, ‘in 11th The Westmoreland Wags grade at Wyoming Valley West High School. The Warringtons have all been playing instruments since they were 5 years old, fol-- lowing the Suzuki method. " Rob Lewis began playing a gui- tar that his brother made for him at age 16, and has been playing years since then. Margaret Bakker has played cello since 3rd grade, Her background has been in clas- sical music and she especially enjoys playing in string quartet$ and other chamber ensembles. Ian, Rob, and Margaret first played together 3 years ago as members of The Back Mountain Reelers which regularly played for Chicory House contra dances. No partner or previous experi- ence is necessary. Dancers are asked to enter the school cafete- ria from the Murray St. side and are requested to bring a plate of refreshments to share during the intermission.
