SWIMMING Dallas 116, Pittston 72 Lacey Popson was a three time winner in the Lady Mounts 116- 72 victory over Pittston Jan. 16. Popson swam a leg in the 200 medley relay team and had indi- vidual victories in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke races. Central Clay 30 - American Legion 15 American legion jumped out to a 9-0 score at the end of the first quarter on the shooting of Adam King, Sean McAndrew and Darrell Rogers. Central Clay countered in the second quarter and outshot the Legion 10-0, on the shooting of Adam Singer and Eric Domzalski. At half-time, Central Clay held a 10-9 lead. Central Clay opened the game up in the third quarter with Domzalski and Singer combining for 10 points. Balanced scoring gives Team #3 win Team #3- 32 - Team #2-14 Team #3 was victorious with a balanced scoring attack. Jonelle Dickson, Sam Lloyd and Whitney McOwen each scored 8 points. Dallas Lions 46 - NAPA Auto Parts 37 Both teams came out shooting in the first quarter, with NAPA Auto's Paul McCue scoring 8 of his game high 23 points, while the Dallas Lions’ Jeff Singer, and Jonathon Barbose led their of- fense. NAPA Auto held a 10-8 lead at quarter’s end. The Lion's Jonathon Barbose caught fire in the second quarter, scoring 9 points and give his team a 21-16 lead at halftime. The Lions con- tinued the scoring attack in the third quarter with Adam Tkaczyk, Bobby Gebhart and Mike Yurchak leading the way. McCue kept the game close for NAPA Auto. The Lions extended their lead at the end of the third quarter 36-23. NAPA Auto's Josh Bryant and McCue combined for 12 fourth quarter points, but their rally came up short.
