Westmoreland holiday store open Dec. 8-13 The Westmoreland Elementary School Holiday Store will open on Monday, Dec. 8 in the school li- brary. Susan Baiamonte is chair- man of this P.T.O. sponsored an- nual event which allows school children the opportunity to pur- chase holiday gifts in a safe and ‘supervised environment. Susan Hosage, Employment Manager, CTE, Inc., and Sue Killian, Employment Strategist, CTE, Inc., conducted “mock in- terviews” to the audience of stu- dents showing the proper inter- viewing techniques to use when meeting with a prospective em- ployer. Hosage and Killian also re- viewed the many types of jobs available at their company. Stu- dents left with a better insight on the job market today and the skills needed for employment after high school. Westmoreland Book Fair The students of Westmoreland Elementary School recently enjoyed a week long Book Fair sponsored by their PTO. Students were able to purchase a variety of books from the Troll Company. Students from the lower grade levels were paid a visit by the Grumpy Bunny character and had a story read to them. To conclude the Book Fair, there was a Troll Book Fair Contest in which three students names were randomly drawn with each winner receiving $35 in free books and a tote bag.
