The event was attended by over 200 mem- "bers and their families. Cham- pion and reserve championship awards through 6th place were presented to the area’s top eques- trians. Awards were based on total points accumulated through- out the NPHA recognized series of 37 English, western and dressage horse shows held during 1997. The NPHA was established in 1989 as a non-profit organization dedicated to educate individuals in the proper care of equines, to improve the quality of equestrian events and promote and foster an interestin equine industry. The old guys win The Dallas High School soccer alumni team claimed a 3-2 win over this year's players in the annual game played Saturday. Dale Morris, class of '88, scored twice for the alumni, who had the advantage of playing against a rotating squad of varsity and junior varsity players. POST PHOTO/MIKE NEIL Winning artists Recently all the science students at the Dallas Middle School had the opportunity to participate in a statewide poster contest “Recycle Pennsylvania.” The posters were judged on creativity and theme by members of the middle school’s science and art departments. The winning posters will be sent to the Department of Education where they will be judged by a panel of distinguished artists and educators, from across the Commonwealth. Winning artwork will appear in the 1998 Recycle Pennsylvania Calendar.
