Kurtz Productions created the set and lighting designs, which will take the audience from Merry Olde England, inside the Giant Peach for an adventure across the ocean to New York City and the Empire State Building. The set will include a 13’ diameter peach, pirates fia) rise from under the stage and hundreds of colorful and animated costumes. The fantasy is told through the eyes of young James, who dreams his way through frolics with Mr. Grasshopper, the Ladybug, the Earthworm, the Bumblebee, the Gloworm, the Centipede and the Spider. The play, produced by Gina Major, Major Performing Arts, is a joint venture between Major Performing Arts and NE Players Theatre Company. It is directed by Cynthia Millington Brnadreth with costumes designed by Ann Millington and Lisa Timek. The costumes are handcrafted by Lisa Timek, Gail Frank, Anne Lenahan and Marsha Frederick.
