Barrall, 87, of Vulcan Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Nov. 21, 1997, at the home of his daughter in Shavertown. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was son of the late Herbert M. and Anna M. Davies Barrall. He attended Kingston schools. Before he moved to Wilkes-Barre, he was resident of Jackson Town- ship for 41 years. Before he retired, he was em- ployed for 27 years as a mainte- nance foreman by the former Natona Mills, Dallas. He previ- ously worked as a millwright, car- penter and cabinetmaker throughout the Wyoming Valley. He was a member of the Leh- man United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He was also a 7th Degree mem- ber of the Grange, Pennsylvania State Grange, Jackson Grange i312, and a 50-year member of George M. Dallas Lodge 531 F&AM, Dallas, and the Keystone Consistory, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Miers Barrall, in 1973; a sister, Mary Lawry; and a great-granddaugh- ter, Kristina. Surviving are his wife, the former Thelma Drake; a son, James H., Lehman Twp.; daugh- ters Grace Lord, Shavertown; Margaret Berlew, Orange, Franklin Twp.; brothers the Rev. Herbert J., Salem, Ore.; Dr. John H., Providence, R.I.; David D., McKees Rocks; stepdaughters Beverly Morris, Ormond Beach, * Fla.; Marilyn Coles, Stroudsburg; seven grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Bossart, 72, of Circle Drive, College Manor, Dallas, died | Nov. 16, 1997, at his home follow- ing an illness. Born in Latrobe, he was son of the late Robert and Imogen Saxman Bossart. He graduated from Lebanon High School and attended the Uni- versity of Pittsburgh, Washing- ton-Jefferson, and graduated from Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster. He was a U.S. Navy verteran of World War II. Before he retired in 1976, he was employed for more than 20 years by United Penn Bank, now Mellon Bank. He was the branch manager at several locations. He served United Penn Bank at its Tunkhannock, Clarks Sum- mit, Scranton, Forty Fort, Dallas and Wilkes-Barre branches. Before that he was employed for 20 years by ARCO, formerly Atlantic Richfield, Co. He was a member of Forty Fort United Methodist Church and was active in the Sunday School class and United Methodist Men, and also served on the Endowment Committee. He was a member and past president of the Dallas Kiwanis Club. He was also a member of John Brashear Lodge 743 F&AM, Dormont, the Williamsport Consistory and the Irem Temple AAOMS of Wilkes-Barre. He worked as a volunteer-at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Myers, in 1991. Surviving are his sons, Robert N., Quincy, Mass.; Gregory C., Ossipee, N.H.; a daughter, Debra Bossart Macharty of East Lan- sing, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Joan McGuire, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
