The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, November 19, 1997 8 It wasn't the butler Dallas High ready to stage 'Bone-Chiller' Dallas High School will present the comedy-mystery- thriller Bone-Chiller Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, at 8 p.m. each night. The play by Monk Ferris is a typical blend of house guests, a butler, and servants, set in the present in the rather unusual parlor (Is this a parlor or a pet cemetery?) of Josiah Travers, recently deceased. The guests are gathered for the reading of a will in the form of a rebus. The audience can share in the puzzle by also trying to interpret the will. Of course, as the evening progresses, various and sundry murders take place or are attempted. The suspense builds as the guests and the audience try to figure out “who done it.” However, we can tell you, the butler didn’t do “it.” . The play is under the direc- {ion of Donald Hopkins, as- sisted by Audrey Ide. The student staff includes stage manager Kelly Seman, assisted by Chris Riley, lighting chief Heather Vodzak, and prop chick Nicole Gabel. "The cast includes Setiaditin Blinn, Tim Herbert, Jeanette Humphrey, Jennifer Moser, Peter Redmond, Amy Samuels, Students learn environmental issues Recently the seventh grade students at the Dallas Middle School participated in an assembly given by Mr. Andrew Masaitis, a Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority board member. Masaitis addressed the students about waste water treatment and general environmental concerns as they apply to our area. He stated that the goal of the WVSA is to keep on improving the quality of water that is discharged into the river. The students also viewed a video on the operation of the WVSA waste water treatment plant located in Hanover Township. A question and answer session period ended the program. POST PHOTOS/CHARLOTTE BARTIZEK Peter Redmond accused Tina Burakiewicz of the dirty deed during dress rehearsal for "Bone-Chiller," which will be presented at Dallas High School this weekend. Tim Herbert looked on. At right, the whole cast posed for a snapshot. Jason Vodzak, Kelly Adams, Tina Burakiewicz, Jeff Levinson, Emily Mallick, Sarah Mairtin, and Alycia Roberts.
