Walkin' Jim Stoltz to play November 18 SSSI Walkin' Jim Stoltz strolls into town November 18 One of America’s most unique folksingers and backcountry trav- elers, Walkin’ Jim Stoltz, on tour from Big Sky, Montana, will bring his inspiring multmedia show, Forever Wild, to Wilkes-Barre on Tues., Nov. 18. The show will be presented at the community hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 97 South Franklin Street in Wilkes- Barre. The time of the show is 7:45 p.m. Walkin’ Jim gets his name from the more than 23,000 miles he has walked through the wild country of North America. Carrying a gui- tar and writing his songs along the way, his lyrics express a great love and respect for the earth and the wild places he knows so well. Known for his powerful baritone and emotion-packed vocals, his Forever Wild show combines live music and poetry with multi-im- age slides. The result is a stirring celebration of wilderness. This year’s tour marks Jim's 25th year of performing and he will be shar- ing images from the Utah wild- lands, the Northern Rockies, the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico and Canada, and many other wild places in North' America. This year Jim released his sixth and seventh recordings, “The Web of Life”, a children’s album, and “Oh, What a Life”, a live album celebrating his 25th year of per- forming.
