They were married on October 25th 1947 in St. Mary's Annuncia- tion Church, Kingston, by the Rev. Vito Zenaitas. Their attendants were Louise Owen Haas, Christine Yanalunas Koziel, the late Joseph Sisky, and Edmund Yanalunas. .Mrs. Yanalunas, the former Jean Owen, is the daughter of the late " George and Evelyn Owen. She is a retired registered nurse. “ Mr. Yanalunasis the son of the late John and Elizabeth Yanalunas. * Prior to retirement he owned and operated Bucky's Auto Body and «+ Frame. They are the parents of a son, Richard, Dallas. Their . granddaughters are Amy, Dallas and Stacey, Norfolk, Virginia. “ The couple will be honored at a family dinner at Pickett’'s Charge * given by Richard and Eleanor Yanalunas. Adopt-A-Dog month In Luzerne County * Luzerne County Board of Commissioners recently presented a resolution to the S.P.C.A. of Luzerne County designating October as Adopt-A-Dog Month throughout all of Luzerne County. - The Board of Commissioners of Luzerne County urge all Luzerne ‘County residents to heed the need of homeless animals to have shelter and loving care, to raise awareness of animal welfare and support all the efforts of the SPCA of Luzerne County. Several thousand homeless animals are available ‘for adoption yearly at the SPCA shelter in Plains Twp. Visiting and adoption hours are 11-3 and 5-7 weekdays and 11-3 weekends. For information call the SPCA adoption office at 825-4111.
