Elliott St., 71, Stafford, Va., formerly of Harveys Lake, died Oct. 11, 1997 at Mary Wash- ington Hospital. Born in Wilmington, Del., on Mar. 10, 1926, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Berrell Elliott. Before retiring, he was em- ployed as a U.S. Coast Guard Chief Boatswain's Mate. After retiring, he pursued a second career as a game warden for the Pennsylvania Fish Com- mission. He was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas. He was a member of Semper Paratus FAAM 49 Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Eroh. Surviving are sons Earl E. Jr., Port Orange, Fla.; Barry L., Mo- bile, Ala.; Darryl S., Harveys Lake; a daughter, Cathy L. Born Feb. 20, 1919 in Kunkle, he was the son of the late Oliver and Nellie Martin Hoyt. He re- sided in Kunkle before moving to Vernon. He attended Dallas schools. He served with the U.S. Army Infantry in the European Theater during World War II. He was self-employed as a lum- berman in the Back Mountain area. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marjorie Murphy; son, Robert Jr.; daugh- ters, Charlotte and Mary Lou; a grandson, Rory.
