She was born in Newport, the daughter of Harvey and Harriet Fine. She spent many years as superior of nurses at the Nanticoke Hospital. Later marrying Robert Moore, they bought and operated the Payne Printery in Plymouth. The shop later moved to Lake St. in Dallas where it still remains in operation today. Grace is now a resident of Meadows Nursing Home and would enjoy very much hearing from her many friends, Kingston Twp. zoning permits Ben Gorey, Kingston Township zoning officer, collected $2, 858 for zoning and building permits in September. After the check was returned because ofsinsufficient funds, Bike Works sent him a certified letter request- ing that he pay the money within 10 days. The letter was never picked ‘up. After failing field sobriety tests, Nulton was taken to the Dallas Township Police Station where his blood alcohol level was determined to be .108. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disregard for a traffic signal. e Dallas resident Scott Michael Lee, 25, was arrested July 17 by state trcoper James Hankey after police observed him driving er- ratically on Rt. 29. Lee was traveling at a high rate of speed, police said. Police fol- lowed Lee trying to stop him and Noxen Township patrolman Ja- son Wilson chased Lee’s car until they reached Lake Township. Wilson stopped chasing Lee on behalf of public safety and re- duced his speed.--Wilson contin- ued on Rt. 29 until he came to the scene of a car accident. Lee's car was ‘wrecked and he had been ejected from it and was lying on the ground. Lee was airlifted to C.M.C. in Scranton. Open beer cans were found Inside his vehicle and his blood alcohol level was determined to be .147. ; He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and not driving at a safe speed. Pioneer Ave. and Mt. Airy Rd. Pisaneschi sideswiped a police car as he tried to get past it on Williams St. He was apprehended athisresidence. After being trans- ported to the Luzerne County Pro- cessing Center, he refused to take a blood alcohol test. Refusal of the test results in a one year suspen- sion of a driver's license. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, recklessly endangering another person, causing an accident dam- aging an attended vehicle, driving with a suspended or revoked li- cense and reckless driving. A related charge was dismissed. e Shavertown resident John Pasternak Jr.. 44, was arrested July 25 after Harveys Lake Bor- ough patrolman James Karlowicz saw his, vehicle weave between lanes. Pasternak refused to submit to field sobriety tests. According to the police report he staggered and had trouble balancing himself. He told police he had a few drinks. He was taken to Wilkes-Barre Gen- eral Hospital where his blood al- cohol level was determined to be 129. : He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and failing to keep right. Arelated charge of reckless driving was dismissed. e Wilkes-Barre resident Kim- berly J. UNREGISTERED VEHICLE Wilkes-Barre resident Glenwood Sobers, 44, was arrested August 4 by Dallas Borough pa- trolman James Drury. Drury called in Sobers’s plate number after he was unable to read the expiration sticker on his plate. A call tothe Back Mountain Communication Center revealed that Sobers’s registration expired March 1997. After taking a closer look, Drury saw that the expira- tion sticker read July 1998. Sobers told police he had regis- tered his motorcycle at Leonard's Auto Tag Service. Leonard's had no record of Sobers’s registration, but told police they did provide him with applications for registra- tion. A clerk from Leonard told police they gave Sobers’s girlfriend a July 1998 registration sticker. Sobers was charged with dis- play of documents and driving an unregistered vehicle.
