Heart Assoc. to hold dance October 17 The American Heart Association (AHA), Luzerne County Division, recently held an initial planning meeting for its first annual “Harvest Moon Dinner/Dance” to be held on Fri., Oct. 17 at the Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre. A kick-off to AHA’s Saturday, April 25, 1998 Heart Walk that will take , place at Wyoming Seminary Upper School, the Harvest Moon Dinner / Dance will include a silent auction and entertainment by Which Doctor. MR. AND MRS. FREDERICK J. CASE The Cases celebrate 50th wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Frederick J. Case of Noxen are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 18. They were married in the Noxen United Methodist Church by Rev. James Hilbert. Bridesmaids were Mildred Ruff Cook, Verna Case McGinley and Florence Keiper Shilanskis, flower girl was Joy Morris. Best man was Leland Case and ushers were John Carey, Clifford Mansfield and Richard Morris as ring bearer. The late Mrs. Letha Bynes was soloist and the late Albert Keiper was organist. The couple have four children, Mrs. Mildred ~ Elgaway, Tully, NY; Frederick J., Hamlin, NY; Loren, Noxen and Roger of Harveys Lake. They also have 10 grandchildren . and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Case, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ruff, is a retired nurse. Mr. Case, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Loren Case is also a retired Principal of Dallas Junior High School. The occasion will be celebrated with an open house at St. Luke Parrish Hall, Noxen on Oct. 18, from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Friends are welcome to come and celebrate such a special occasion. No gifts please.
