She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and careless driving. e Reading resident Ronald W. Spencer, 23, who was arrested June 16 after Dallas Township patrolman Jeffrey Dennis saw his vehicle weave between lanes on Rt. 415. After failing field sobriety tests, Spencer's blood alcohol level was determined to be .140. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disre- garding a traffic lane. e Pittston resident Anthony Ristagno, 33, who was arrested April 13 after Dallas Borough pa- trolman William Norris observed him driving erratically on Rt. 309. After failing field sobriety tests, Ristagno was taken to the Wilkes- Barre City Police Department where his blood alcohol level was determined to be .184. Ross e Larksville resident Ronald Sundy, 25, who was arrested March 26 after Kingston Town- ship patrolman James Ibbotson observed him driving erratically on Carverton Rd. After failing field sobriety tests, Sundy was taken to the Wilkes-Barre Gen- eral Hospital where his blood al- cohol level was determined to be .239, more than twice the legal limit. Sundy also tested positive for marijuana. A search of his car turned up a small pipe with resi- due in it. He is charged with driving un- der the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, not yield- ing at a roadway and disregarding traffic lanes. TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS Noxen resident Jason J. Gray, 25, was arrested June 4 after Harveys Lake patrolman Damian Hoover observed him driving er- ratically on Rt. 415 and Tulip Rd. in Lake Township. When police attempted to stop Gray, he sped up to speeds of 90 mph. Gray came to a stop at his residence oft Spruce Tree Rd. Gray faces a trial on charges that include reckless driving, driving at an unsafe speed and failing to stop at stop signs. A charge of attempting to elude the police was dismissed. DRIVING UNREGISTERED VEHICLE Harveys lake resident Jane Muchler, 41, was arrested May 23 after Dallas Borough patrolman James Martin observed her driv- ing erratically on Pioneer Ave. and Rt. 309. Muchler’s license plate had a temporary validation sticker on it. A call into the Back Moun- tain Communications Center found that her plates expired in August 1996. Muchler’s driver's license was suspended. In a written statement to po- lice, she said she did not under- stand what happened to her vali- dation sticker . Mubhler also said she did not know why her driver's license was suspended and that she did not have automobile in- surance. She was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle. Breaking new ground Luzerne National Bank held groundbreaking ceremonies for its new office at the intersection of Rt. 309 and Main St. in Dallas, next to Mark Il restaurant. The border of Dallas Borough and Dallas Township crosses the property, so officials from both communities were invited.
