Wyoming Valley was onthe [roe frontier and the Susquehanna River was a key waterway as the Battle of Wyoming on television July 3 American Revolution raged on in 1778. Then, as combined British and Indian forces entered Wyoming Valley from the north, the area earned another distinc- tion: site of the largest one-day death toll for the year 1778. The Battle of Wyoming claimed the lives of two out of every three Americans who fought. A half- hour special on the Battle of Wyoming produced by VideoGuard productions, Forty Fort, will air on Fox 38, July 3, 219 years to the day of the actual event, at 10:30 p.m. Told through the dialogue of skilled reenactors who portray colonial figures regularly, “The Battle of Wyoming” attempts to recreate the mood of the day and the events leading to the decision to fight the British and _| Indians. The home of Col. Nathan Denison in Forty Fort “was used as a loction. Re- creating the “Fort of the Forty” in Forty Fort from which the patriots marched was another logistical Mrs. Johnson and Rev.
