BMT BASEBALL BASEBALL MAJORS Dodgers 8, Cardinals 2 Doubles by Dale Raginski, Angelo Georgetti and Brett Sprau helped the Dodgers. Christian Cobleigh was the winning pitcher. Mark Yankowski took the loss. Nick Faillace and Greg Mascioli each had two hits for the Cards. Dodgers 8, Yankees 0 Angelo Georgetti, Dale Raginski and Christian Cobleigh combined for a three-hit shutout. Tim Kerestes, Mike Burns and Nate Yoh had the Yankee hits. \/ Yankees 3, Indians 12 Mike Fehlinger pitched 3 in- nings with 3 strike outs to collect the win from the mound. Mike Yenason, Jimmy Jordan and John Barbose collected two hits apiece for the Indians. Frank Buzzin went 2 for 3 while Matt Rondina was 3 for 3 with a double for the Yan- kees. Rangers 14, Pirates 8 Ryan MacMillan was the win- ning pitcher with 8 strikeouts while getting a double and triple P ws at the plate. Aiding MacMillan was Phil Engler with a triple, Johnny McGeehan with a triple and two singles, and Morgan Anderson hitting a double and a triple. Greg Andrusisian had three singles for the Pirates while Jor- dan Koslosky added a single and a double and Steve Neiman stroked a double . Yankees 2, Astros 1 Frank Buzzin and Steve Luksh challenged each other from the mound as both pitchers recorded 11 strike outs for their teams as Buzzin came out on top with the win. Buzzin and Luksh also had two hits a the plate along with Eric Kurello getting two hits for the Astros. Dodgers 8, Cards 2 Brett Sprau led the hitting for the Dodgers with two hits while his teammate Angelo Georgetti collected a double. Getting two hits apiece for the Cards was Dominic Faillace and Chris Bertinelli. Cards 6, Rangers 2 Brian Cornia and Greg Mascoli combined to pitch a 4 hitter and a win for the Cards. Mark Yankowski had two hits for the Cards while Mike Darling and Johnny McGeehan had doubles for the Rangers. SOFTBALL MAJORS White Sox 15, A’s 14 Sam Oschman led the White Sox's as the winning pitcher and two hits at bat. Assisting Oschman with the hitting was Elise Persico with two hits including one double. Leading hitters for the A's were Jamie Sulewski and Jamie Sickler. BASEBALL AAA Cards 6, Reds 5 Gracjan Kraszewski was the winning pitcher and also had three hits and scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning for the Cards. Kraszewski led off the bottom of the sixth with a single and then Jason Demnicki stepped up to hit a long ball into center field getting the game win- ning RBI. Red Sox 3, Cards 11 Allen Sheridan claimed the glory of the winning pitcher for the Cards. She was captain of the field hockey team, named MVP of Mid-Atlantic Conference, Freedom League- 1996, first time a defensive player was honored for this award. A four year starter in field hockey, she was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association third team All Ameri- can squad in 1996, she also was second team regional All Ameri- can in 1995. She was a member of a defen- sive unit that allowed just 23 goals and recorded four shutouts in 20 games during the 1996 season. Wilkes University won its fourth straight Mac Freedom League title and its third ECAC Mid-Atlantic championship in the last four years. A senior biology major, she is a three time member of the Mac Fall Academic team and.a 1996 member of Div. III National Aca- demic team, recipient of the Alfred Franklin D’Anca M.D. Scholar- ship 96-97, awarded for academic NOELL BRROKS ability and leadership qualities, recipient of 1997 Biology Research Award at Wilkes. She will attend graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in the fall. She is the daughter of Ronald and Patricia Brooks, Lehman. Lehman 16, Seton 0 Lehman made quick work of Seton May 7 running the score up 10-0 at the end of the first and held on to drop Seton 16-0 in a game shortened to four innings at Seton.
