Margaret Moss of Royal Oak, MI. They celebrated their 60th -wedding anniversary and Caroline’s 80th birthday on May 5. The decorations were done in lavender which is Caroline's favorite color. There were approximately 90 people in attendance. Among the guest were Mary (sister) and Andy Sippel. Mary Lou (niece) and Adam Billiott from Ocala, FL area; Barbara (niece) and Art White from Syracuse, NY; Darren (grandson) and Marianne Rushnock from Plastow, NH; Joseph Rushnock, Jr. and guests MaryAnne Delano with son Jeffrey from Butler, NJ area; Brian (grandson) Moss, Catherine (granddaughter) and Tom Webb and great-grandchild Alex from Detroit, MI. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Dallas Senior High School and Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke where she earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Nursing. She is employed as a Registered Nurse at First Hospital, Wyoming Valley. The prospective groom is a graduate of Central Regional High School, Bayville, NJ, and is employed locally as an electrician. The couple will be united in marriage on May 23, in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Swoyersville. Mr. and Mrs. J. Wendell Jones Mr. and Mrs. Jones ind EEA celebrate 50th anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. J. Wendell Jones, 34 Franklin St., Shavertown, ? are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 17. They were married in the Huntsville Christian Church by Rev. Paul Kepple. Their attendants were the late Ruth Howell, young- est sister of Mrs. Jones and the late Ben Earl, high school | classmate of Mr. Jones. Mrs. Jones is the former Phyllis Elston, Jones retired as an electrician from Local 163 IBEW. The special afternoon consisted of luncheon served and a program of their lifetime reflected in photographs shown on an overhead. Their son, Ronald, sang two spiritual songs and requested that Roy and Caroline lead a sing along of “You Are My ~ Sunshine” (their theme song) for the guests participation. The guests were then shown a presentation of the memories of the hosts’ parents and excerpts from Caroline's “Reminisce” book given to daughter Melvina recently. A public letter from each of their children (Melvina and Ronald) was emotionally presented and received to the guests-of-honor. The guests were asked to join in during all phases of the presentation with their own particular memories and sentiments. The Festival celebrates the Confirmation of our teens and Pentecost, the dramatic moving of God and the beginning of the church. Dr. Gladwell will preach on “Amazement to Obedience”.
