UMW President, Margaret Johnson and UMW members will conduct the worship service. The speaker will be Cathy Lashford whose topic will be “Celebrate United Methodist Women”. This «year is the 25th Anniversary of United Methodist Women. “v« Mrs. Lashford is a member of the Huntsville +, United Methodist Church where she holds the office sof Vice-President in the United Methodist Women. «~She is a former president and vice-president in ~ Wyoming Conference UMW; a former member of the Women's Division where she chaired the committees for Racial Justice and Contemporary Mission, which - sincludes development and training for conference Cathy Lashford ~. officers. She served on the United Methodist Com- .»mittee on Relief for eight years, four of which she served as president; «the General Church Commission on Religion and Race for eight years + where she chaired the White Concerns Committee. Mrs. Lashford has the distinction of being the first woman elected as Lay-Leader of ~Wyoming Conference. .'. Following the service there will be a coffee hour (on the lawn, weather permitting). Prince of Peace Antique Show May 6 & 7 The 45th annual Prince of Peace Antique Show and Sale will be held on May 6, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and May 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Parish House of Prince of Peace Church, Main Street, Dallas. The highlight of this year’s show is an antique 1931, handmade applique quilt .In addition to antiques, the show will feature fresh flowering plants, flea market “treasures,” and homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts. Lunch will be served on Tues. and Wed. with dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tues. only. This year 13 dealers will participate including: Yesterday's Images, Dallas; Heritage House Shoppes, The Quilt Racque, Shavertown; Anne Yudiski, Dallas Pictured from left are Lynda Rowinski and Linda Fritz, Co-Chairpersons, with this year’s door prizes, an antique mirror and chair, donated by Kathryn Hall. Mrs. Hall originally conceived the show as an opportunity for local antique dealers and collectors to come together and display the area’s unique antique treasures.
