PSU students paint street signs at Harveys Lake At Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus,. to be a recognized orga- nization, one of the requirements is a yearly community service project. This year the Penn State Surveying Society chose to paint road signs for Harveys Lake Bor- ough. The Club gathered on April 5, at the Harveys Lake Borough Garage to fulfill this year’s service obligation. The Borough supplied all the materials and the Survey Society supplied all the muscles. The reason for the new road signs is the renaming of some of the borough's roads for the 911 System. Many roads in Harveys Lake have duplicate names and in times of emergency, can cause the loss of precious minutes. Mark Molesky, the club presi- dent, stated next year the Survey- ing Society is considering repaint- ing the Pole numbers around the lake. Mark noted anyone inter- ested in obtaining more informa- tion on this project or the Survey Society, can look on the InterNet a Ss WWW.Surveying. WB.PUS.EDU.
