This year’s theme is “In God We Trust.” This slogan, which appears on all of our currency, is not just a trite expression. Let us elevate these powerful words as our standard, seal them on our hearts, hold them in our thoughts and use them to guide our daily actions. Let us model this trust in God— who is always worthy of our trust— and pass this ideal on to our children, our country’s future. Trust sprouts and grows when- ever we realize that we need the help of the one who is able to make the crooked paths straight and the rough places plain. And itis expressed when we're humble: enough to get down on our knees and ask for that help. ! Join us on May 1, at our local National Day of Prayer Rally, which is to be held at the Kirby Park Amphitheater, in Kirby Park at 12 p.m. to approximately 1 p.m- when various speakers will handle prayer segments as we intercede for America.
