Born May 1, 1908 in Harveys Lake, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Huldah Kocher Kraft. She resided in Harveys Lake and Lehman Township for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M.; son, Clyde; brothers, Fred and Tony Kraft; sisters, Helen Wilson and Alice Newell; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She graduated from the former Plains Memorial High School and the former Bloomsburg State Nor- mal School in 1933. Prior to her retirement, in 1978, she taught in the Dallas School District for many years. She lived most of her life on Midland Drive, Dallas. She was a memer of Old Stone United Methodist Church, - Meadville, and the Dallas Chap- ter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was previously a mem- ber of the former Hudson Primi- tive Mrthodist Church and its Ladies Aid Society. She was affili- ated with the Luzerne County and Pennsylvania Retired Teachers associations and several other pro- fessional teachers’ organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Clyde A. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Mr. and Mrs. Donald Williams of Meadville. She resided in Wilkes-Barre for most of her life. before moving to the Back Mountain area 20 years ago. She was a member of the Cen- tral United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E.; a grand- son William Carey Aston; broth- ers, George E. and Burton T. Davies. PAUL MULCEY Paul A. Mulcey, 88, formerly of Overbrook Road, Dallas, died Feb. 8, 1997, at the Myers Manor, Wesley Village, Jenkins Township. Born Oct. 5, 1908, in New York City, he was the son of the late Ettienne G. and Jeanette Price Mulcey. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from University of Bordeaux, Freance. He served in the U.S. Navy dur- ing World War II. He earned the rank of Commander under Admi- ral Burke in the Beaver Squad- ron. In 1954, he moved to Dallas where he lived until 1962. Following his retirement, he was a member of the American Orchid Soicety. A He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Catherine C. Carey. Surviving are daughters, Jacqueline Mulcey, Morristown, NJ; Betsy French, Portland, ME; four grandchildren; three great- grandchildren. THOMAS MORRIS Thomas R. Morris Jr., 49, of RR 1, Sweet Valley, Ross Township, died Feb. 22, 1997, at the Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. Born ‘July 27, 1947 in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Thomas R. and Dorothy Konabroski Morris. He attended Nanticoke schools and graduated from high school in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was formerly employed as a truck driver by United Parcel Service for 22 years. He was a member of the Shav- ertown United Methodist Church and Nanticoke Lodge 541 F&A.M. Surviving are his wife the former Susan Harris; a daughter, Cindy Morris at home; a brother, Robert Morris, Mountaintop; two nieces and a nephew. Memorial services were held Tuesday in the Shavertown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Douglas A. Clark officiating. ELIZABETH WORMECK Elizabeth B. (Graf) Wormeck, 77, of the Meadows Apartments, Lake St., Dallas, died Feb. 18, 1997. She was born Sept. 22, 1919in Philadelphia. She lived in the Back Mountain since 1957. She was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America and was a former officer of the German-Aus- trian Club of Wilkes-Barre.
