Born in Republic, he was the son of the late John and Anna Timko Baloga. He attended Sacred Heart schools, Wilkes-Barre. He served in the U.S. Army in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. ~ Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a coal miner at the Dorrance Colliery. Later he worked as a crane operator at Foster Wheeler, Mountaintop. He lived in Dallas for the past 49 years. She and her husband, Arlie Harvey, also a resident of the Star Hill Rest Home, celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on Sept. 7. 1996.
