Henry of Dallas was honored with the school's Harold C. Buckingham Award for Outstand- ing Service. Established in 1993 to honor the memory of Buckingham, eighth president of Wyoming Seminary, the award was presented to Henry at a din- ner in his honor. “With an eye for the future, a sensitive feeling for the heritage of the past and a regard for the realities of the present, Frank Henry continues to effectively serve Wyoming Seminary in the finest tradition of alumni and trustee leadership,” said board chairman George B. Sordoni in presenting the Buckingham Award. A 1950 graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Henry was elected to the board of trustees in 1967 and served as chairman of the board from 1973 to 1979. He began his tenure as board chairman under dramatic circumstances: just the year before, flooding caused by Hurricane Agnes devasted the school, wreaking $6.5 million in damages.
