Born in Dallas, on Dec. 10, 1934, she was the daughter of Laura Miller Martin and the late Kenneth Martin. She lived in Beaumont for 17 years before returning to Dallas in 1971. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she was employed by Perugino's Restaurant, Luzerne and Pickett's Charge restaurant in Dallas. She was a member of the Kunkle United Methodist Church and the Vacation Club, Kunkle. She was preceded in death by a son Kent. Surviving in addition to her daughter and mother are a son, Terry Bret Derhammer, Tunkhannock; daughter, Laura Lynn Avery, Noxen; Denise Dawn Scouton, Noxen; brother, Kenneth C.
